Itinerary Highlights

Day 01: Arrival in Negombo

After landing at Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake, you’ll receive a warm welcome in the arrival lounge. Your guide will whisk you away to your hotel in Negombo, just a short 30-minute drive away. Once you’re settled in, spend your afternoon exploring the charming fishing town of Negombo. Set by the shores of a lagoon and surrounded by coconut palms, it’s a paradise for seafood lovers and beach goers alike. Return to your hotel for dinner and a restful night.

Day 02: From Negombo to Sigiriya via Dambulla

Start your day with a delightful breakfast before heading out to Sigiriya. Along the way, stop at the magnificent Dambulla Cave Temple, a world heritage site known for its vast mural-covered interiors and hundreds of Buddha statues. Once in Sigiriya, check into your hotel and enjoy some leisure time before dinner.

Day 03: Exploring Sigiriya

Today’s adventure begins with a climb up the stunning Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its ancient artistic and architectural marvels. After descending, indulge in a Sri Lankan cooking class at your hotel and savor a delicious rice and curry lunch. In the afternoon, pedal through the ancient city of Polonnaruwa on a cycling tour, exploring its rich history and harmonious blend of Buddhist and Hindu influences. Enjoy another night at your hotel in Sigiriya.

Day 04: Journey to Kandy

After breakfast, we depart for the historical city of Kandy, visiting a Spice Garden in Matale en route where you can relax with a brief Ayurvedic massage. In Kandy, once the hill capital, embark on a city tour featuring the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic and the serene lake at the city’s heart. Your day ends with dinner and an overnight stay in Kandy.

Day 05: Kandy to Nuwara Eliya

Choose to travel by road or take a scenic train journey to Nuwara Eliya after breakfast. This train ride offers stunning views of tea plantations and waterfalls, providing a unique opportunity to mingle with locals. Visit a tea plantation and factory for an immersive tea experience. Check into your hotel in Nuwara Eliya and later explore the town, known as ‘Little England’ for its colonial charm.

Day 06: Nuwara Eliya to Yala/Tissamaharama

Post-breakfast, head south towards Yala, stopping at the breathtaking Ravana Water Falls. Check into your hotel and prepare for an exciting afternoon jeep safari in Yala National Park, home to a diverse array of wildlife. End the day with dinner and an overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 07: Yala to the Southern Beaches via Galle

Travel to the southern beaches, visiting the historical Galle Fort en route. Enjoy a guided tour around the well-preserved ramparts and the heritage town enclosed within. Continue to your beachside hotel in either Bentota or Kalutara for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 08: Departure from Beach to Airport

Enjoy your final breakfast in Sri Lanka before heading to Colombo for a colorful city tour. After soaking up the vibrant atmosphere and diverse culture of the commercial capital, you’ll be transferred to the airport, marking the end of your unforgettable Sri Lankan journey.
